Creating Social Media Content That Generates Sales
• Feb 22
Claudio mentions focusing on your audience's pain points. This is a concept I emphasize to all of our clients. You must focus your social media content mainly on the desires of your audience, not on what you'd like to share about your brand.
Social Media differs from most advertising platforms in that people watch television and read magazines because they are interested in the content. They tolerate and try to ignore most of the ads because they have no choice (outside of using a DVR, or paying for the content to avoid the ads).
In social media if you're buying pay per click ads, those are similarly tolerated and regularly ignored, but people CHOOSE whether or not to follow you on Twitter or Facebook. It's important that your social presence is dedicated to serving their needs, fulfilling their wants and catering to their desires. Anything other than that will vastly stunt your community's growth.
I highly encourage you to read Claudio Alegre's article for Creating Content that Generate's Sales. I was almost upset when I read it because I felt like Claudio invaded my brain and took my thoughts! Kudos. :)
