How Doctors & Lawyers Make Money With Social Media
• Feb 3
I generally try to expand on the articles I post here on A-Side Worldwide's marketing blog, but there's not too much I can add to this one. Doctor Burgert has done a great job of showcasing specific results that can come from a properly structured social media strategy. She is a medical doctor, but the same social strategy Dr. Burgert uses is also applicable to attorneys, accountants, or anyone in the professional services industry.
By combining Blogging with targeted social networking on Twitter and Facebook you'll grow an interactive community made up of peers in your industry and potential new clients.
When you begin to share helpful information you'll position yourself as a category expert. As an expert who truly understands a certain specialty and regularly shares insightful information, you'll increase referrals while building trust and rapport.
Taking the initial steps of building trust through social media will remove the initial fear faced by new clients, and make your social community feel comfortable referring their friends and family to your practice. You'll be surprised at how many people feel as though they know you after reading your articles and social media posts.
The content your blogging and social interaction produces also becomes instant food for search engines, driving traffic to your website and social accounts just as people are interested in the topics you're most knowledgeable about.
Wow, I said I didn't have much to say, but I guess I'm never at a loss for words. :) Click through and read Doctor Natasha Burgert's inspiring article and follow her on Twitter @DoctorNatasha:
